Group art show ‘Remixing Illusion’ begins at Cosmos-2

A 15-day long group art exhibition of Waterless Lithography technique titled ‘Remixing Illusion’ by 24 artists from the Chittagong Institute of Fine Arts is going to be inaugurated today at 6 pm at Gallery Cosmos-2 at New DOHS in the city’s Mohakhali area. Dr Mashiur Rahman, Economic affairs adviser to the Prime Minister will inaugurate the exhibition as chief guest, while Lee Yun-young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea; Tasmima Hossain, Acting Editor of the Daily Ittefaq and Editor of Anannya Magazine; Muhammed Aziz Khan, chairman, Summit Group and eminent artist Professor Abul Barq Alvi will be also present as the guests of honour. The participating artists are– Alamgir Huque, Md. Jashim Uddin, Ruhul Karim Rumee, Nityananda Gaine, Sumon Sutro Dhar, Maruf Adnan, A. Asan, Asma Nasrin, Madhabi Rani Nath, Purna Paul, Sumit Chakraborty, Jenia Afroze, Monika Nandy, Sabiha mahbub, Nisat Kamal Chowdhury, Hosneara, Nilufar Yasmin Neela, Apu Chakrabarty, Sumanta Rani Mohonta, Thoilaching Marma, Sumusen, Shek Monir Rubel, Soma, Mojumder and Iffat Jahan. Enayetullah Khan, chairman of Gallery Cosmos said about the exhibition, “It will be the first exhibition of its kind in Dhaka, where the audience will get the chance to witness the bewitching possibilities offered by waterless litho. I hope everyone will avail the opportunity at ‘Remixing Illusion’ featuring 51 works by 24 artists.”
