Established in 1986, Cosmos Telecom (CT) provides project-based support, procurement and construction support, as well as system integration to its partners. The engineering team also provides support for satellite, microwave, and outstanding plant projects.
In their effort to attain group mission – Technology for Empowerment, they are experienced in carrier relation for voice, data, mobile and satellite business, they also have Value Added Services (VAS) through the state-run BTCL and other private International Long Distance (ILD) networks.
CT also provides local loop services for foreign and national IPLC clients in Bangladesh. Partnering with Sicap, AG, a company providing various VAS and platforms to mobile operators in Bangladesh.
Two of Sicap’s products, Pay4Me (collect call platform) and USSD menu browser, are running under the observation and support of the largest mobile operator in Bangladesh.
A pioneer in accomplishing numerous projects in Bangladesh, one of their projects were in 1989 when, with the help of Nokia, CT established the largest radio microwave communications project funded by Finnida, which remains the premier source of communication in the domestic circuit.
CT represents Thales, formerly Thomson-CSF, who installed the radar and monitoring system of the then-Dhaka International Airport. CT completed the primary and secondary radar installation and upgraded the ATC at the international terminal. Thales has been awarded IFE contract for Bangladesh Biman’s new Boeing aircrafts.
CT is also in partnership with Inflight Dublin, which provides audio programming and duplication services to over 50 airlines worldwide. Also associated with Sofrecom, the consulting arm of France Telecom, they conducted a study on ‘Choosing the Right Technology’ for then-Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB). A similar report was prepared for Grameenphone, with the help of Telemate.
They also supervised the development of the premier news management and delivery software for United News of Bangladesh (UNB), the largest aggregator of news and information in Bangladesh, that falls under the wing of Cosmos Group.
CT also has a Single Point Service Agreement with Bharti Airtel for IPLC service.

Syniverse’s core business areas include roaming, network and database, business intelligence and interoperability services.
