Cosmos Energy Services (CES) entered into operations in 1982 and was incorporated as a limited liability company in 1997. After the successful completion of a number of supply and turnkey contracts in the oil, gas and power sectors, CES has recently done striking investments in the mining and minerals sector of Bangladesh.

Headquartered at Cosmos Centre, CES is enriched with in-house technical skills, with a highly-qualified professional team composed of geologists, geoscientists, economists, and electrical, mechanical and civil engineers, who have unrivaled dedication as well as experience of working in the petroleum and power sector.

Power Sector

CES was the first Independent Captive Power Producer in Bangladesh. It has successfully constructed a 10MW gas-engine power plant in the country for the Scan Cement factory, under a joint venture with the Rolls Royce Power Venture, UK.

This versatile power company is involved in operation and management of power plants, substations, transmission lines, and supply of power transformers, switchgear, conductor, and major electrical equipment.

In-partnership with Mahkota Technologies (formerly GEC Malaysia), CES is credited for building the first 230KV substation for PGCB. It is the foremost organization in Bangladesh to attain the ISO 9001 Certification in respect of O & M of the Captive Power Plant.

Oil and Gas Sector

CES has evolved as one of the top companies in the Oil and Gas sector-based industry of Bangladesh. This company has earned the honor of being the only private sector company to undertake petroleum geology and reservoir study on the acreage in exploration blocks of Bangladesh, in collaboration with Corelab/BAPEX/ Petrobangla.

CES takes pride in being associated with a number of prestigious projects such as, the development of the first oilfield in Bangladesh at Haripur and first offshore platform at Sangu built by KBR.

CES is proficient in providing EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services for gas-processing plants, and gas pipeline construction. We also deliver oilfield seismic and drilling services. And, we can supply the associated equipments such as, drilling materials, drilling rigs, line pipes, etc.

Cosmos CES provides a plethora of services, including consultancy, logistics and local mechanical, electrical and civil engineering support, to the national oil companies (NOCs) and international oil companies (IOCs) operating in Bangladesh. These services can be taken in both downstream and upstream activities.

Automation & Instrumentation

CES has been established as the foremost process instrumentation company in Bangladesh. Cosmos Instrumentation serves diverse entities, such as gas fields, refineries, fertilizer plants, gas process plants, power plants, metering stations, and chemicals industries.

These services range from specific products – such as a valve, measurement, analytical and control equipment, – to complete integrated solutions for the industries.

Resources Sector

The mining industry of Bangladesh has the prospect to unleash multi-faceted benefits, such as, import substitution, massive GDP growth, creation of many new job skills/ employment opportunities, establishment of new regional industries, and generation of considerable flow of income to the government.

Cosmos has undertaken significant investment in mineral sands exploration and mining sector in Bangladesh. We hold an equity interest in Premier Minerals Ltd., Bangladesh, the operating arm of Premier Minerals Limited Singapore, an exploration and mining company with investments in Bangladesh and Australia. CES is also involved in the Maddhapara Hardrock Mining project in Bangladesh.
